In 2017, Terrance Hale, a Navy Veteran and Career Center Manager, through community engagement and partnerships identified a huge need to support individuals and groups with barriers to employment. With the support of community partners at the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, Terrance created HFD Employment Consulting (HFDEC), an organization designed to work closely with students, young adults, and seniors who are challenged with various barriers such as criminal backgrounds (justice-involved), intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other disabilities and barriers.
With over 10 years of experience in workforce development, employment services, and the master of military discipline, HFDEC has helped hundreds of those with barriers to employment reach their vocational goals. HFDEC has fostered such success through the following core values.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality services to students, young adults, and seniors who are justice-involved, diagnosed with a disability, or any other barrier to employment, empowering them to reach their greatest potential.
HFDEC envisions a community where all people with barriers to employment are valued and integrated in educational, social, work, and residential settings.
